More on Bridal...

Today I will answer another questions that brides usually have to me.
The common worry is: " How do I keep my makeup perfect for the whole day?"
It is true that the wedding day can be a long one. We usually get started on hair and makeup early in the morning, then the brides either head for photos or to the ceremony and then more photos and long reception.
Needless to say it is very important to make sure, that the makeup will stay as long as possible, because even the most beautiful application is not worth much if is gone after couple of hours.
We start the application with a good primer. This is the key to long lasting makeup. The right primer will smooth out the skin, fill out all the pores and lines and create a smooth canvas, on which the foundation will just "glide" on. There are few great primers on the market. One of my favoite ones are : Photo Finish Primer by Smashbox and Makeup Forever All Mat Primer . Try it and you will notice the differene.
Then are we following with a very good quality foundation. That is probably the most important product, it can make look either glowing and smooth or cakey. As I mentioned before I usually use RCMA foundation, which gives a wonderful coverage and goes on so smoothly. I use it on myself all the time and I always receive compliments on my perfect skin (which is really not at all! But that's between me and you!).
The other great in my opinion foundation in HD Invisible Cover Foundation by Makeup Forever. It does give close to perfect coverage and it is waterproff, which is a great bonus for brides.
A great powder is another trick, I use Laura Mercier's Loose Setting Powder in Translucent, which is so so so great! It's doesn't look "powdery" at all and it has no color, so it can be used on any skin shade. You can use the same shade in the summer, when you are more tan  and winter, when the skin tends to be more pale.
Another great trick to long lasting makeup I learned from Kevin James Bennett and it's makeup layering. Basically you start with a cream waterpoff porduct, for expamle an eyeshadow such as Aqua Cream by Makeup Forever and then top it with your usual powder eyeshadow. It really works great.
Same applies to cheeks, staring with cream blush, then setting powder then regular blush.
It's always importnat to use waterproof mascara and eyeliner. That is just a must. My favorite is Jet Set Waterproof Eyeliner by Smashbox, which comes in so many beautiful colors.
There are many long lasting lipsticks out there, I have had no luck with them. I find them very drying and cakey looking. So I usually top by brides lipstick with Lip Chic Lipstick Sealer, and then just ask her to reapply the gloss. The final finish is a Setting Spray by Skindinavia , which kind of "freezes" makeup in place.
And here we go! A beautiful makeup that will last all day long!
I know it seems like a lot of work and a lot of makeup that you need to buy, but then you can just always hire me! :)
