Solution for dark circles

One of the most common questions I get from my clients is how to cover up the dark circles under the eyes. We all have been through this: trying out million different products only to have them fail us once again. The most common problems are creasing of the concealer and the fact that the under-eye wrinkles seem to be more prominent after we apply some makeup in that area.
After many years in the industry I was finally able to find few products that make covering up circles a breeze! Here is what you do:

  •    Begin by applying a good eye cream, make sure it is not too greasy. One of my favorites is Ultra Correction Lift: Total Eye Lift by Chanel This is the only eye cream that has actually worked for me. Pat the eye cream gently; be careful not to apply too much of the product.

  •    Follow my applying some kind of light diffusing product. Many people swear by Touche Eclat by Yves Saint Laurent; it comes in many different colors which can be good for ladies with darker skin tones. My favorite however is Photo Op Under Eve Brightener by Smashbox. It comes in one color, which suites most skin tones and it is half the price! Once again use enough product to cover the area and fan it out a bit towards your cheekbones, however be careful not to overdo it!

  •    The next step will be applying the actual concealer. My new favorite is High Definition Liquid Concealer by Smashox. It is super light and very pigmented so you don't have to use a lot of it. Pat is down gently all over the under eye area. Make sure you fan it out a bit towards your cheeks and the cheekbones. It is also nice to use a tone or two lighter then the rest of your foundation: it will give nice brightness to your face.

  •    The last step it totally optional, but like to use it especially on my younger clients. You finish by lightly dusting a Secret Brightening Powder by Laura Mercier. I like to use soft blending eyeshadow brush for this. You might want to skip this step if your under eye wrinkles are more pronounced.

I hope this helps you conquer those stubborn circles! If you need more in depth instruction I have a great news! I will start conducting half-a-day makes classes! Stay tuned!!
